All Nighter

The story follows Rick, an overnight radio DJ at WZQR, a low-frequency local station in a quiet, rural area. Rick’s job is uneventful—cue the records, read the weather, take the occasional call-in. The station is old, the tech is outdated, and the studio is buried in static and shadows. He’s used to the silence.

But tonight is different.

As the night wears on, strange things start happening. Listeners call in to report hearing disturbing things over the air—whispers, cries, garbled voices. One caller swears the station is broadcasting their dreams. Another says they heard the voice of their dead husband on the line. Rick, sceptical at first, brushes it off as crank calls.
