The story takes place in the Mississippi Delta, where the wealthy Pollitt family gathers to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday. However, beneath the surface, tensions simmer as family members vie for his inheritance.

The central conflict revolves around Brick, a former football star drowning in alcoholism, and his wife Maggie, who desperately seeks his affection. Brick’s emotional turmoil stems from the loss of his close friend Skipper, and his refusal to confront his grief.
